This year’s Chambers and Legal 500 rankings are out…

We are delighted that our Licensing team has been recognised, once again, as Tier 1 in The Legal 500 and Band 1 in the Chambers Guide for 2020. The highest rankings available.

For decades these guides have been analysing the capabilities of law firms across the world, with comprehensive research programmes revised and updated every year to bring the most up-to-date vision of the global legal market.

Our Licensing Director, Jack Cummins, who has specialised in the field for over 35 years, retains his ranking as a Leading Individual in The Legal 500 and, this year, has achieved the coveted Senior Statesperson rank in Chambers. He is praised for his 'great common sense approach’ while the team is described as having ‘competence and knowledge which cannot be bettered in Scotland’.

In addition, Audrey Junner has retained her ranking as a Band 1 Licensing Solicitor in the Chambers Guide and has achieved the rank of Leading Individual in The Legal 500. Audrey is a Partner and Head of our Licensing Division and specialises in all types of licensing work across industry sectors and handles a range of licensing matters, including gambling, civic government and liquor work. She is described in the guide as ‘an exceptional practitioner with an ever growing wealth of experience’.

Peter Lawson Head of our Commercial Property department and a leading licensing lawyer has also retained his ranking in the Chambers Guide.
