Miller Samuel Hill Brown are delighted to announce our new charity partnership with Maggie’s. Through our employee-led charity committee, MSHB regularly raises funds for a wide variety of organisations. This year staff voted to support Maggie’s to help in the charity’s efforts to provide support for people living with cancer and their families.
Maggie’s offers free practical and emotional support to anyone affected by cancer. Set alongside NHS hospitals, the cancer care-centres bring people together in a calm, friendly, uplifting space. Qualified professionals help people take back control when cancer turns life upside down for anything from treatment side effects to money worries. Our charity committee hopes to raise thousands for Maggie’s Glasgow through a series of fundraising activities over the course of 2022.
The team recently kicked off their support for the charity with a launch day bake sale at their office, to tie in with Maggie’s Kitchen Table day, raising nearly £350. Next up, on 24 April this year, MSHB will again take on Scotland’s legendary Kiltwalk, putting their best feet forward for Maggie’s.
Eilidh McGuire, Senior Associate, said: ‘We are delighted to be supporting Maggie’s this year and that our first fundraising event was so successful. Our main event for this year, the Kiltwalk, is coming up later this month and we are keen to keep the momentum going and raise as much money as possible.’
