MSHB Announces Charity Partnership for 2024

MSHB announce charity partnership

At Miller Samuel Hill Brown, we believe in helping and supporting our local communities. To put this belief into action, we are delighted to announce that we have partnered with Glasgow City Mission for the year 2024, and we will also continue our partnership with Glendrick Roost Animal Welfare Centre. Our aim is to make a real difference in the community by supporting these two charities through staff volunteering and fundraising events.  We hope that through our combined efforts, we can bring about a change in the lives of those in need and create a positive impact.

Our team is incredibly proud of our community involvement last year. Through donations and in-kind support, we were able to make a significant contribution.  We strongly believe that every small act of kindness can create a ripple effect, and together, we can bring about a positive change. We are determined to surpass our previous contributions and keep supporting our community in every possible way.

Glasgow City Mission is an organisation that assists vulnerable adults and children in Glasgow who are fighting against poverty and disadvantage. The organisation operates three projects: the Child and Family Centre, the City Centre Project, and the Overnight Welcome Centre.

Glendrick Roost Animal Welfare Centre is a charity that provides a nurturing and caring "home for life" to abused, abandoned, or unwanted animals, regardless of their size. The organisation works tirelessly to offer these animals the care and protection they require to live happy and fulfilling lives.

Edward Laverty, Partner & Chief Executive at Miller Samuel Hill Brown, said:

“Our employees have shown great dedication to charitable causes, which is truly inspiring. We requested them to nominate a charity that aligns with our Responsible Business Policy: fighting poverty and inequality in the UK; protecting and promoting health and wellbeing; protecting the environment and fighting global climate change; protecting and promoting human rights in the UK; and protecting animal welfare in the UK. Based on their suggestions, we created a shortlist of charities working towards positively impacting our city, and we held a vote. We are excited to announce our new charity partner who will be joining our current one. We take great pride in being a firm that not only provides more than just great law but also cares deeply about the communities we serve. By making the well-being of our communities and environment the foundation of our approach, we firmly believe we can make a meaningful and lasting difference.”
