We are delighted to extend a very warm welcome to our latest trainees, Gillian Irving and Rebecca Quinn.
Gillian earned both her LLB and DPLP at the University of Strathclyde. When asked about her settling in, she replied: "My experience from the outset with Miller Samuel Hill Brown has been extremely positive. The firm has an open door policy, which instantly put me at ease and I have felt comfortable asking my superiors questions .
"My first seat is Commercial Property and everyone in the team is very friendly and helpful, which has allowed me to feel welcomed into the team and being able to gain insight from such experienced practitioners is invaluable. I have been given meaningful tasks to do and my colleagues are always happy to answer any questions I have- no matter how small! Up until this point, I have been involved in client meetings, drafting documents, letters and emails to clients. I am looking forward to what is to come".
Rebecca received her LLB from the University of Aberdeen and her DPLP from the University of Edinburgh. When asked about her initial experience at the firm, she shared her thoughts: "Starting a traineeship can be a daunting experience but at Miller Samuel Hill Brown I was instantly put at ease. Everyone in the office is friendly and approachable and doors are always open if you have any questions - which as a trainee can be often!
"I am currently in my second week of my first seat in Residential Property and the team have really invested their time into training me. The paralegals are very supportive and open to sharing their wealth of knowledge. My supervising partner has also given me great insight into the work I’ll be carrying out over the next 9 months. So far, I have been involved in a number of cases; drafting documents, letters and emails in the conveyancing process. I am looking forward to the upcoming months and progressing through my traineeship with Miller Samuel Hill Brown".
If you have been inspired by Gillian and Rebecca, applications are now being considered for 2024.
