Glasgow’s Licensing Board has agreed to allow one additional hour from the terminal hour when the UCI Cycling World Championships 2023 takes place in August.
The world’s biggest cycling event will take place in Glasgow and across Scotland this summer, with over 8000 cyclists from more than 120 countries set to participate. With the event scheduled to take place from the 3rd August to 13th August, the extension will allow for an extra hour of opening for all on-sale premises in the city during this period.
In keeping with other similar extensions granted in the past, there will be no need for premises to apply for the extra hour.
