‘Atypical Workers – current issues and reform’

Miller Samuel’s leading employment law specialist Marie Macdonald today gave a talk on ‘Atypical Workers – current issues and reform’ at the Employment Law Conference.  This was part of ‘Scots Law 2014 – the Convention Series’ held at the Hilton hotel in Glasgow in conjunction with CLT Scotland and the University of Strathclyde. The talk looked at a variety of different atypical workers including:-

  • Agency, casual and fixed-term workers
  • Apprentices
  • Volunteers, interns and work experience
  • Consultants and self-employed contractors, flexible workers and homeworkers
