Marie Macdonald

Marie became Chairman of the firm in January 2019.

Accredited as a specialist in Employment Law, Marie has a wealth of experience and is a recognised leader in her field – having been accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in Employment Law since 2006. She has been awarded a Post Graduate Certificate with merit in Mediation and Dispute Resolution from the University of Strathclyde. She is also Co-Chair of the International Lawyers Network Labour and Employment Group and acts as Honorary Legal Counsel for Badminton Scotland.

Highly respected in her field, Marie is often asked to speak on a wide range of Employment Law topics to businesses across many sectors.

Marie acts for public sector organisations and private businesses and works closely with her clients in securing best outcomes. She has enjoyed high profile successes for clients in The Employment Tribunal and Employment Appeal Tribunal which have been widely reported in the media.
