Ellen Matthews

Ellen qualified as a paralegal in 2001 and has practised almost exclusively in the area of Family Law. She was a finalist in the Paralegal of the Year at the Scottish Legal Awards in 2013. 

 

She and Siobhan began working together in 1999 when Ellen changed her role from that of cashier to secretary following the mergers of their respective firms. She embraced her new role with great alacrity when after a couple of weeks, Siobhan went off to South America on holiday just before the Milennium.

 

Ellen was a key figure in the development of the Family Law Team at HBM Sayers through its mergers with BLM and Clyde and Co.

 

She brings a wealth of experience to the firm where we look forward to her outstanding common sense, empathy and sense of humour which have long been appreciated by both clients and colleagues, supporting the firm’s commitment to growing our Family Law Team.
